Simple Ways to Get the Word Out!

Start close to home

• Talk with your Board, employee group leadership, and parent organizations – Share the flyer and explain why improving base funding matters locally. 

• Place the subject on a Board meeting agenda. SAMPLE RESOLUTION

• Keep messaging simple and consistent: “Raise the Base!”, adequacy of funding needs attention.

• Tell your story -  inflationary challenges,  student impact,  employee impact.
  
  

Engage your community

• Speak to your community at board meetings, parent forums, or staff gatherings.

• Share the message and/or flyer in newsletters, social media, and district websites.

• Emphasize how base funding affects class sizes, programs, services,  employees.
  
  

Use local and statewide voices

• Speak to your local newspaper about why base funding matters in your district.

• Reach out to your legislator(s) with local data and district examples.
